Paul and his wife, Yoo Mi

The Presbytery of North Western Victoria met on the evening of Friday February 23 in the Swan Hill Church to celebrate the appointment of Rev Paul Lee to the Kerang-Swan Hill Charge. Paul began his 3 year appointment on January 1, 2020, living in the Swan Hill end of the Charge.

The Moderator of Presbytery, Rev Stuart Withers, led the service and asked Paul the appropriate questions and prayed for Paul and his wife Yoo Mi and their daughters in Melbourne. Rev Russ Grinter and Elder Ken Pinchen read the Scriptures, Rev Keith Bell preached an encouraging and engaging occasional sermon, titled ‘When God speaks’. Rev Philip Burns read the narrative of steps as Presbytery Clerk and Rev Jesse Walz led  in prayer while Yoo Mi Lee played the organ.

The congregation of 50-60 came from all over for the Presbytery occasion with representatives from St John’s Bendigo, Eaglehawk, Kerang, Swan Hill and Pyramid Hill Presbyterian congregations. There were also friends in attendance from Lake Boga Uniting Church and the Swan Hill Church of Christ.

Please join us in thanking God for the end of a long vacancy in the Charge and praying that the gospel would advance under God through Paul’s ministry in Kerang and Swan Hill.
