Scots Presbyterian Church, Colac was established in 1977. A manse and two blocks of land on Armstrong Street were gifted to a small group of members who remained committed to the Presbyterian cause.
The church meets a niche ministry in Colac providing solid Bible teaching. Our hope is that we can build on this platform to draw young families and young people together who yearn to grow in Christ.
We would like to lift our profile in the community by reaching out and we would love a minister who could help and guide us in this. We would like a minister who is involved in the local community, someone who is at ease with a mature congregation as well as being able to connect with a younger generation and is committed to pastoral care in homes and places of residential care.
Colac is alongside a freshwater lake in the volcanic area of Victoria’s rich agricultural area of the western district. It is central to Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool, and close to coastal resorts Apollo Bay, Lorne and the Shipwreck Coast and the outdoor recreation playground of the Otways. There are daily passenger rail services to and from Melbourne and a double divided highway that makes a day trip to Melbourne possible.
