FRIDAY 1 JUNE, at Surrey Hills – one of the best sides of the church was on display. For the induction of Rev Chris Siriweera (as our new Ministry Development Officer), nearly a full house was present and we enjoyed sweet fellowship, great singing and the preaching of God’s Word. Testimony was given of the congregational love and respect for Chris’ faithful gospel ministry at Surrey Hills over many years. This has meant that his transition into the Assembly MDC appointment is significant for him, his family and the congregation. But the PCV rejoices and looks forward to Chris’ wisdom, godliness and enthusiasm being applied across the state. Presbytery Moderator Barry Oakes led the service and John Huynh (Surrey Hills Assistant Minister) preached the sermon.
